The history of Argentine Tango in London in this current era goes back further than the current generation of dancers and milonga organisers probably imagine.

This is a personal recollection of how it all started, which was first published in the magazine Dance Express in an abbreviated form.  It covers the period from 1986 to approximately 2010.
